The News

Stock problems for PS5 to continue

Sony have said issues with the supply chain for PS5s could last well into 2022. Bad news for anyone hoping to get a console this year. It does give me more time to save up though so personally - not too mad. The shortage of units is blamed on a global superconductor shortage.

Credit where it's due - did RE: Village steal a monster idea from film director?

Richard Raaphorst, director of Frankenstein's Army, alleges the Sturm boss fight almost mirrors a scene from his horror movie. There are quite a few similarities between the two, both are monsters with propellor heads and both are killed by explosions, being engulfed in flames. Capcom have not commented. Raaphorst is exploring his options with getting credited for his work, saying he'd have been happy to provide the design if credited properly. "If they had asked me, 'hey, Richard, we'd love to have your design in our next Resident Evil, and we will give you a credit or some kind of royalty payment,' I would have been honoured and flattered and proud. It would have been a super positive experience."

Anyone got a spare £110? The instax mini Link Special Edition will print your screenshots in high quality and even give you the option to include a Nintendo themed frame. Novelty item? Yes. But give me it. Now.

Humble Bundle takes on Covid 19 with the Heal Bundle

And the games selection is top tier. This War of Mine, SuperHot and Undertale feature in this bundle that really showcases how creative the industry can be. And it helps a bunch of medical charities, such as Medecins sans Frontiers! To get the rewards you must pay over £14.43, well worth it for the raft of content available. It's not just games either, some books and software are included too. What are you waiting for? GO BUY IT.

The Switch gets a calendar app?

It costs £8.09. You could probably go and buy a calculator for that and have change left over for a frappuccino. Late stage capitalism is getting even stranger. I'm not providing a link for this one, if you want it that badly you can go find it yourself.
